Luxury & Lifestyle

luxury & gastronomic variety

If there is something that differentiates the people from Málaga province is their way of living their lives. A characteristic lifestyle that revolves around the hours of sunlight that offer the over 320 days of sun per year.

Living in Benahavís means to enjoy the narrow white streets and the colourful scent of their plants and flowers.

It also means to enjoy luxury in all its aspects and an exceptionally good cuisine.

Gastronomy

The gastronomy in Benahavís is almost as varied as the restaurants that fill the city. But if there is something that really defines the personality of this Málaga jewel, that is the prominence of the sea on one hand and other hand the versatility that the agricultural produce gives to the dishes

This is why Benahavís is known as the dining room of Andalusia, and it is considered a gastronomic paradise by critics and visitors alike, as it features some of the best restaurants of Spain, an endless gastronomic offer of the highest quality. This is reflected by our own Catering School, “Sabor a Málaga”.

Benahavís

A cosmopolitan and multicultural population

It is the right combination of modernity and tradition thanks to its extensive foreign community that live together in harmony and perfectly integrated in the social and economic life of Benahavís.

These foreign residents bring to Benahavís their own essence, turning this traditional old town into a cosmopolitan and multi-cultural area.

Most of them live outside the old town in some of the luxury urbanization that have grown around the town, surrounded by the many golf courses.

These urbanizations are small (or big) paradises, surrounded by nature, tranquillity and luxury.

Did you know that

According to the Statistical Institute of Andalusia in 2019, in Benahavis resided 8085 people of whom 5131 are foreigners.

To live in Benahavís is to be able to enjoy the desired peace after a busy day and, at the same time, to be able to access all the services that we may need.

Although it is an inland town, surrounded by hills, Benahavís is only seven kms away from the bustling coast, and a stone throw of the glamorous Marbella and the beautiful town of Estepona.

Thanks to its location and its hilly land, Benahavís offers multiple options for nature lovers: hiking routes that you will never forget, outdoor activities and rural tourism.

It is a town rich in history, founded by the Arabs in the 9th Century. Nowadays it keeps that Moorish and traditional flavour, that combines perfectly with the modernity of its luxury urbanization or the immaculate green of its golf courses.

Spain's most luxurious hotels and housing developments

But Benahavís is much more than a white town where you can practice hiking or golf. Due to its privileged location, pleasant weather all year and the wide extension of its municipality, Benahavís has been chosen by some of the best hotels and urbanizations in Europe.

Thanks to this, it is one of the riches towns in Spain, where the quality of life and services that it offers to its citizens are second to none.

The prestigious travel magazine CondeNast wrote this about Benahavís:

«The Mediterranean light is unique, it shines like a precious metal. It brings life to those that bath in it, it lights a road full of unique experiences and unforgettable moments. That light rests placidly between the quiet hills of Costa del Sol, caresses the shiny sea and creates a suggestive illusion in the shape of paradise… more real than all your fairy tale dreams together.»
